1) A bag contains red and green balls in the ratio 1: 3. There are 10 more green balls than red balls. How many red balls are there? How many green balls are there? And, how many balls are there in total?
2) A class has boys and girls in the ratio of 5 : 6. There are 3 more girls than boys. How many boys are in the class?
3) A fruit bowl contains apples, bananas and grapes in the ratio 2 : 1 : 5. There are 20 more grapes than bananas. How many apples are there? How many bananas are there? And, how many grapes are there?
4) A shop sells CDs and DVDs in the ratio of 4:7. They sell 270 more DVDs than CDs. How many CDs do they sell and how many DVDs do they sell?
