​Linear Graphs: Quiz 8
Quickly make a sketch of the following lines. The sketch does not have to be really accurate. Instead, we want to have a rough view of what the gradient is (i.e. how steep in the curve) and what the y intercept is (label the coordinates of the y intercept).  
 
1) Sketch all of the lines below on the same diagram.
  1. y = x
  2. y = x + 3
  3. y = x – 2
  4. y = x + 5
  5. y = x – 4
 
2) Sketch all of the lines below on the same diagram.
  1. y = -2x
  2. y = -2x + 4
  3. y = -2x – 3
  4. y = -2x + 6.5
  5. y = -2x – 1
 
3) Sketch the following lines on separate diagrams.
  1. y = 5x – 3
  2. y = -3x + 2
  3. y = 2 + 3x
  4. 4y = 8x + 16
  5. 2y – 6x + 3 = 0
