The ticket on the resellers site is 75% more expensive than the ticket when it was on general sale. I pay £140 for the ticket. How much was the ticket when it was on general sale?

6) The popularity of a scout group has increased by 35% through out a month. At the end of the month, there are 27 members in the scout group. How many members were there at the start of the month?

3) Over the course of a year, my car has decreased in value by 14.2%. At the end of the year, the car is worth £5,152.29. How much was the car worth at the start of the year?

4) I purchased a house 5 years ago. Since then, the house has increased in value by 6.3% and it is now worth £197,500. How much has the house increased in value over the past 5 years? Give your answer to the nearest pound.
