All of the exam board and tier homepages are split into two sections:
1) Subsection Content
There are many different subsections for the content. The screenshot below is an example of what a subsection looks like (the screenshot is the subsection for Pythagoras’ Theorem AQA Higher).
- Content – the content is split into 6 different broad sections, and each of these 6 different broad sections have their own subsections.
- Past Papers – past exam papers for previous years.
1) Subsection Content
There are many different subsections for the content. The screenshot below is an example of what a subsection looks like (the screenshot is the subsection for Pythagoras’ Theorem AQA Higher).
The start of all of the subsections will have content and quizzes. The content explains the mathematical concepts through numerous worked examples. After you have completed the content and learnt the mathematical concepts, you can test yourself with a quiz. The questions in the quiz get progressively harder, which will increase your understanding and confidence with the mathematical concepts. All of the questions in the quizzes have worked solutions, so if you get stuck, you can use the worked solutions to help you.
At the bottom of all of the subsections, there are past paper questions for the exam board and tier that you are studying for. The past paper questions let you see how the concepts that you have learnt in the subsection are used in the exams. The past paper questions have been split up into easier and harder topics, so you can work your way through the easier questions before trying the harder ones. There are also other past paper questions from other exam boards for you to try.
2) Past Papers
All of the past papers have their own webpage. The webpage for Paper 1 November 2018 Edexcel Higher Maths is shown below.

On all of the past paper webpages, there are PDFs for the question paper and mark scheme. The questions in the PDF for the question paper have QR codes next to them, which when scanned, take you to the individual question webpages (there is more information as to how the PDF question papers work on the second page of the question papers).
There are also individual webpages for all of the questions in the past paper. All of the individual question webpages contain the mark scheme, worked solutions and helpful links to content for the concepts used to answer the question, quizzes that you can use to try some of the concepts and similar past paper questions.

- Way 1 – work through the different content subsections methodically by going through the written content and quizzes. After you feel comfortable with the content and quizzes, you can then give the past papers questions a go.
